Just a random question - are natural disasters taken into account in the kingdom rules? I ask because where I've got the campaign going (in the Scarred Lands setting) is in an area known for its violent windstorms, drought and flooding. I'm thinking I should work up a model of weather typical of the region and hit the area with some powerful storms or a year or two of terrible crops. This is all for the future though - my group is just wrapping up Book 1 (hopefully this weekend!)

I believe so. There's also a post about weather on here. I'll try to look for it.

They did release player's guides, a revised 'monster manual' (called the Creature Collection) and a few setting books in 3.5. The Scarred Lands settings' sales suffered badly when 3.5 was released however having had a very vigorous release schedule during the 3.0 days. Fortunately the best bits of the setting - the city/nation/setting books are very light on game 'crunch' and focus on the background of the setting and making memorable NPCs and environments to adventure in.
