Where do you guys get your inspiratioin? I get a ton off of this board, but also from a lot of the great authors of our time (ie Terry Brooks, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson to name just a few). But I am always interested in new ideas and concepts for weapons, armor and items. As such, I'm trying to broaden my horizons and wondering where others get their mojo from.

i have had several characters i recycle to save time. it saves Alias space, and those cute girls often have creepy origins and creepy bases.

An Aasimaar life oracle inspired loosely by Flonne (Angel Apprentice, not Fallen Angel)
a Tiefling Wizard inspired Loosely by Koakuma
a warrior demigoddess (represented as a human) inspired loosely by a hybrid of Enma Ai's general appearance with traits pulled from Ibuki Suika, Masane Amaha, and various aesctetic fictional and mythical martial artists like pre enlightenment Miyomoto Masashi and such.
a fetchling bard with a cosmetic design inspired by Rozen Maiden, a personality inspired by a combination of Lelouch Lamperouge, Sherlock Holmes, and Loki, and a physical condition inspired by Patchouli Knowledge and Raistlin Majere.
a Ronin with the invulnerability and arrogance of Noitora and the protective complex of Ichigo Kurosaki. follows the bushido code, and works for whatever master will hire both her and her sister.
more recent characters include
a barbarian inspired by jet li's role in the movie unleashed. a tool of extortion that turned on her master and left to do her own thing. only good at extortion and banditry because that's what her master used her for. has a few traits i would rather not repost here.
