For such a gentle, and beuatiful creature, Sunrise dragons have a sad story to their existance. They are born of the rarely consensual mating of a gold female and red male dragon, those of happier stories come of the breeding of two sunrise dragons. Their hides are an amazing mixture of gold and red, and shine like the sky as the sun rises. Mixtures of purple, red and gold seem to flow along the bodies of these lithe creatures.
Sunrise dragons favour nesting on caves that are close to sandy beaches where they are content to lounge all day. While not as wise as their golden mothers, sunrise dragons have good hearts. They will always avoid combat, using spells that prevent a foe from attacking them.

Sunrise dragons are known to be lovers of clockwork, and their hoards are often mistaken for sprawling workshops. They are always eager to make friends with a being who may be able to help them work on their latest project or provide them with another clockwork toy.
