I'm planning on getting an adventure path subscription starting with Shattered Star and would like to know what kind of lead time I need on the order to make sure I'm in the system in time for the first book.
Err... You are an adventure path subscriber now. But to answer your question, anytime after Chapter 6 of Skull & Shackles and before Chapter 2 of Shattered Star. When you sign up you can choose the current or next "book".

If you would like to ensure you receive the first Adventure in the Shattered Star Adventure Path you will want to make sure you have an active subscription to the Adventure Path Subscription line at the time of its release.
You currently have an active subscription to the Adventure Path line set to start receiving Adventure Paths with AP #57, part three of the Skull & Shackles series. You should be set to receive the Shattered Star series when it is released, for your convenience our subscriptions continue until you request them to stop. Once the Skull & Shackles Adventure Path comes to a close you should start receiving the adventures for the Shattered Star series.
