I've used the street performer bard archetype (from the APG) to make a Kabuki-inspired NPC before.
It worked quite well for a character that I played up the silliness of, and a lot of the abilities can fit cool themes with kabuki performers (disappearing act, which despite the name is actually about drawing attention to yourself so that an ally is effectively invisible is one such example of something that fits well with the perform (kabuki) skill, and madcap prank at 9th level is just plain fun).
In short, I suggest street performer if you want someone fairly silly, wacky, and weird. If you're intending to create a serious performer type of character it's probably not as fitting.
