Tsukiyo, Prince of the Moon, and Tsukuyomi, Prince of the Moon.

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I was flipping through Bestiary 1 today and noticed that one of the Azata Empyreal Lords is called Tsukuyomi, Prince of the Moon. Anyone know if there's any connection between him and the Tian deity that holds the same title and a similar name, Tsukiyo, Prince of the Moon?

As I've understood it, the names listed in the Bestiary are just setting neutral names thrown out there for people to take and build upon, so Tsukuyomi isn't really guaranteed to be a part of Golarion canon.

However, there's plenty of fun possibilities to play with here. Tsukiyo is a god of madness after all! Maybe Tsukuyomi is the chaotic aspect of his personality, possibly split off and incarnated after Tsukiyo's death and resurrection? Maybe they're one and the same, and with the shifting phases of the moon he becomes either Tsukiyo or Tsukuyomi for a time, ruling over mirrored realms in both Heaven and Elysium. Or perhaps it's one realm that moves between the two planes.

Eclipses are supersacred to worshippers of Shizuru and Tsukiyo as that's the time they're reunited. Perhaps it's also the time that both aspects of Tsuk_____ are in balance?
