I'm not trying to sound rude, but it sounds like a lot of the posters don't even read the Goblinworks Blog.
Would it hurt to at least read it before you post. It sounds like people are just making assumptions and not even reading the developers' comments.

The community is growing and we are moving to the '10 topics for every discussion' phase.
Some sort of organization needs to happen soon. There about 200 pages of blog/discussion new people need to read to catch up to those of us who have been here since the first few blogs.
Now would be a great time to grab a vBulletin license(very small dent in the bonus revenue generated from kickstarter) and start an official PFO website that can have a structured forums and more focused discussions.
The Paizo forums are OK, but they are very simple in comparison to what is available.

If GW doesn't want to make new forums yet, I will >8D
Keep in mind that until there are more Goblinworks employees, most people qualified to answer questions about the game use these forums fairly exclusively, as this is the place Goblinworks has said to have official discussions. Creating forums independent of Paizo or Goblinworks may isolate people from the major players in the game's development when they have questions that could easily be answered by those in the know.

Marthian, if you plan on sticking around for the long haul, you gotta get used to it. Every beta in which I've participated (and I've been in a few of the big ones) goes through phases where people completely new to the game come to the forums and ask the first thing on their minds. Then the old-timers start yelling at them to use Search or read the FAQ or, in this case, read the blog.
If you're gonna be around a while and see this project through, get used to seeing people come in who have not read the blog, in fact didn't even know there IS a blog, and they just burst forth with the first thing on their minds.
It's okay. It doesn't hurt anyone and it shows something very important - they're really excited about the game! In a sense, we want more of those people. The more excited people we get, the more word about the game spreads. Treat those people like you would a 4-year-old cousin or something. You want to be welcoming and let them know they're part of the family, but at the same time you don't want to become the center of their world where they attach themselves to you for the rest of the night. Right?
So gently answer a question or two and point them in the direction of the blog (or whatever other resources become available as things progress), even if it means gritting your teeth as you do it. Heh heh. In the choice between anger and guidance, choose guidance. It's the high road. =o)

I have never seen a problem with new posters starting new threads on old topics if that is what we're talking about here. I actually prefer seeing new threads on old topics instead of resurrected dead ones.
We need to remember that WE are the community, how we act is a direct reflection on the game before it even begins development. Many posters might not even be aware of the Goblinworks Blog, acting like adults and kindly pointing them in the right direction is a better response than heavy handed forum moderation IMO.
