This will not be for a PFS game (but this sub-forum seemed the best place to post), but I wanted to use one of these scenarios since they are meant to be 4-6 hours long.
I am in a situation in my home-game where a player cannot attend this weekend, and the part of the campaign we are in greatly depends on him being there as it is part of his quest.
So, my idea is to insert one of the PFS scenarios until next time. And I have the idea of making this scenario a shared dream/nightmare that the players have, so a kind of surreal/odd scenario would be cool. And they won't know its a dream immediately, and they wont know about there being no risk of death, but there could be minor real-life consequences if they die (like negative level)
Here is what I am looking for:
Difficult combats
&
Something that is a little odd
the party is 6pcs all level 8 (but I want to challenge them with tier 10-11), Alchemist,Fighter,Cleric,Ranger,Rogue,Witch (and they have above average stats, and wealth)
From looking over the descriptions some scenarios, these sound ok:
Below the Silver Tarn
Wrath of the Accursed
Prisoner of Skullhill
Any advice I can get today would be great!
Thanks!

Should be considering it's lethality.
Last time I ran it took 3 rounds before the party cleric (only one still above 0 HP) was on his knees begging her not to kill him. Made him pay her every dime he had for the privilege of living. Then once they made it to the last room and tried to leave she was sitting at the front door waiting for her "share" of the loot.
They were not amused...
