So, my GF was perusing the Paizo store for stuff to buy me, and knows I like Osirion stuff, when she stumbled across a book I already have: Pathfinder Companion: Osirion, Land of the Pharoahs. The only thing is, it doesnt look like the book I have. The cover's completely different. It's entirely new art. Another thing is that she found one copy on Amazon, and the other on the Paizo offical website. So ... Hmm.
This is the comparison of the cover art:
This is the "new" one ... as opposed to This one.
So, my question is, what gives? Is this a revised version of the book? Is it just a reprint with a new cover? Is the whole thing got a newer layout with the same content?
Anyone with insight or input is appreciated. ... Or even wild speculation if you like. ;)

Hmm. That's a distinct possibility, voodoo chill. I would tend to think that a company like Amazon would have someone whose job is making certain that the images displayed are the correct ones ... while I have little trust in big companies like that, I would like to believe that Amazon is such a successful company at selling things, that they'd have caught something as simple as an incorrect image.
But, one never knows. I'm sure that Paizo would like to know if their products are being misrepresented. Perhaps if this is the case, one of the important folks at Paizo will read this thread, and check on it with Amazon!
Ooh! I'd be a whilstle-blower! I would have effected change! Yay me!
Or ... you know, maybe there's a whole other answer in store.
