Cthulhu Binder help

Shadow Lodge

I am in the middle of trying modify the egorian fiend binder archetype for a conjurer devoted to Yog-sothoth to show his power over summoning and things from beyond the veil. Problem is that I want to replace the familiar with something more appropriate but don't want to use the cythigot or the ratman if i can avoid it and would love some form or aberration or magical beast that can be given as an improved familiar that fits with the mythos but so far have come up short. So now I come to you all here on the suggestions thread and ask, any ideas?

One of the ideas for the similar characters I had was keeping the regular familiar but giving him a small evolution pool (increasing with level) to buy some weird and utterly unnatural features.

Yes the Summoner class might work better, that way you can design your own powerful eidolon to be as creepy and messed up as you like :)

Alternately, you could acquire a Zoog using Improved Farmiliar (Bestiary 3).

The little buggers are from Lovecraft's Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath, after all.

Would go at summoner but i have another npc that is not only a summoner but his blood relation and i didn't want to be redundant. As for the Zoog I think it could be cool but I have already flipped into the cythigot. Really wish we had more archetypes/prestige classes to fill that niche would love to see some more cthulhuy stuff for PC's and GM's to fool around with.
