SO there's a convention in Dallas called NTRPG Con that's held June 7-10. Its been going on for years and it is oooooolllldddd school. By which I mean they play 0e and 1e with games run by people named Erol Otus and Frank Mentzer, and Jeff Dee. Seriously old school from the classic heyday of the game. I bring it up because I had never heard of it until last year, and this year I and most of the rest of the Frog God Games folks are going (in all fairness Bill and Matt Finch have been going for years, but it's new to me).
So why do I bring it up. Well, for the first time ever, as far as I know, there are going to be Pathfinder RPG games at NTRPG Con. I know this because they've graciously allowed me to run them. So this gets to the heart of the matter. I'm going to be running the forthcoming Mires of Mourning adventure soon to be released by FGG. So far it's only been run in part at ReaperCon last year, but this year I've got 12 hours of slots allotted to it, so it shall be revealed in its entirety.
So here's the deal. It came up for registration last night and MY TABLE IS NOT FULL!!!! Okay it's been less than 24 hours, but those guys like Mentzer and the rest have to beat players back with a stick. Plus I thought it was really cool of the convention to give a "new-age" gamer a chance to break into their venerable gamers club.
Therefore, I am making this heartfelt plea: If you are in the Dallas area or will be in the Dallas area around June 9, come to NTRPG Con and play in my PF game. I've got to look good for these veterans so they don't call be FNG and yell at me to get off their lawn. The Con is only $40 for all 4 days and the games themselves are free; you just have to register for them online. So if it's in any way in your wheelhouse and you've got some time to kill around then, come on down and play in my game! But first go online to NTRPG Con and register to sign up for it.
Just to clarify in the interests of full disclosure. I am running a pre-release FGG adventure for PF RPG, not a Pathfinder Society Game. I hope to see you there!!! :-)

Wow your actually making this sad plea for players to sign up?
Well the problem here is those folks you've listed above have real talent man, they're not some hack who gets by on his perfect smile and good looks.
KIDDING GREG! KIDDING!
Alright gang, Mr. Greg A. Vaughan, Darling of Dungeon Magazine, Workhorse of the Pathfinder APs, and Czar of The Slumbering Frog God needs some cool guys and gals to sit down at his table and roll dice and role play. Do a small favor and sign up.
But the thing is, the small favor here is one your doing for yourself.
I've been in three games with Greg at Gencon, and whether he was playing a Huge African American Cop with super powers flaying the skin of a young street tough with a car battery or playing the Staff Sargent of a Union Regiment as we fought off tentacled things from the Dark Tapestry (and remained IN character the whole game session), it's ALWAYS a FUN time with Mr. Vaughan.
Yes he is a talented award winning author, yes he has a charming smile, yes he is a devout father, and yes he may snore while your trying to sleep, but all that will take a back seat for a couple of hours while you game with him, because after all is said and done, Greg is not only one of us, he represents the best in us. So again, do yourself a favor and nab a seat at his gaming table.
And with a puzzled look on your face continually and persistently ask him who he is exactly.
Greg,
And finally, if you still can't get a full table, just join Erol Otus's game and see how a game should be run.
;-)

Thanks, Noel!
The following, unfortunately, is all true:

But I'll take pity over talent any day. :-)

Oh cool, a Friar's Roast!
Ah yes, NTRPG Con... That's short for the NoTexansRespectingPathfinderGreg Convention.
It's not that they don't respect Pathfinder, it's this Pathfinder Greg character. Rumor has it his behavior in other states is as deplorable as hooker cheatin' secret service agents in Columbia.
Now I know Greg would counter, "I always pay my rented lady farm animals" but that isn't the point. The point is that Charlotte's Web was a book for children, not a manual de l'amour! But to his credit, it is this inability to properly understand the many books that inspire him that causes him to write so uniquely and so well.
So to sum up... world class GM... subpar farmhand.
But seriously, folks... Greg's a monster game master and author. Someone who sets the standard. If you're in or near Dallas, and yet don't usually go to cons or don't know about NTRPG con, change your routine and take a chance... and support Pathfinder on old schooler turf. I'm sure it won't embitter them. ;)

Greg, email the Pathfinder Society Venture Captain in Dallas, I am sure he can find you some players that would be interested.

Wow talk about a deluge of email.
Ok. I am planning on attending NTRPG Con and have already talked to Mike (one of the organizers) about running a couple of Intro PFS scenarios, but you're damn straight I'm going to be playing in Greg's game. I had to register before posting here ;)
I'll send a notification out to the DFW mailing list, too, now that I'm assured a seat.
For anyone else interested in joining us, you can register at the NT RPG CON website.
