I just realized something earlier that's driving me crazy. Night hags are not only hags, but they are also evil outsiders and thus count as Fiends. The problem is, the child of a humanoid and a hag is usually a Changeling, but the child of a Fiend can be (apparently) either a half-fiend or a tiefling.
So, would there need to be an alternative racial for a changeling who's mother was a Night Hag (maybe a magic-related one), or should there be something else for such a being? Is the child a half-fiend Changeling with the bonus from an Annis bloodline, or a tiefling with a bonus if it takes the Accursed bloodline?
I think that if a Night Hag had a daughter with a humanoid, it would be a half-fiend changeling. If she had a son with a humanoid (and here's where we venture into DM-fiat / campaign-homebrew), it would be a half-fiend humanoid of it's father's variety, with the ogre-kin template (or maybe, just a half-fiend ogre).
An alternative racial trait for a changeling's whose mother was a Night Hag is most definitely required. Though, I'm not sure what it ought to be. Similar to a tiefling, such a changeling might possess 'Fiendish Sorcery'.
Regarding tieflings: If I am not mistaken, a coupling of fiend and humanoid always produces a half-fiend of the humanoid's variety. A tiefling is at least a couple generations descended from this union; for instance, the half-fiend may be one of the tiefling's parents, or perhaps one of it's grandparents.
Actually, IIRC, a small side-bar in the Bastards of Erebus book (aka the first part of the Adventure Path known as Council of Thieves), it's said a Tiefling can be born out of the dalliance of a Fiend and a Humanoid instead of an actual Half-Fiend, though I dunno how common an occurence this is.
Also, it's kind of a shame there's no Daemon bloodline for Sorcerers, since Night Hags are Neutral Evil soul-brokers, and granting a bonus to such a bloodline would technically make more sense than Fiendish Sorcery for a Night Hag's Changeling child. Either way, I think I'll take the time to work out a new Changeling character idea instead of needing to go for a Cross-Blooded Abyssal/Infernal with Accursed build to explain the Night Hag ancestry.
PS. I care not of the male offspring of Hags. They usually die anyway.
