I need help getting a new player in

(Set up) it is a city game in which the player are hunting cult es They are now being called cult es themselves and by the time day will come the cleric will be naked in the streets, the wiz hiding out in a hunted house and the two fighters in jail for murder. Not the fighter will not be in game next session. How do I get a new player in game when the old player have missed themselves up this bad.

The new player has a character that has been long fighting against the evil cult, and decides that his first and best line of attack is to reconnoiter the party and get them back together.

The new character has lost a sibling to the Cult Es as well, upon hearing of the actions of the adventurers, he realizes they know of the group as well.

Alternatively, the character was hired by a private citizen to investigate the Cult Es, and comes to the same conclusions.
