If you did some epic quest to craft an item, roleplayed stuff, dealt with haughty NPCs, then there might be a roleplaying award depending on how the GM viewed the challenge.
If you just made a few rolls, paid some gold, and basically did a downtime action, then no, no XP. It's no different than you character going shopping.
Similarly, if you have some great adventure in the marketplace, overcome goons, ruffians, pickpockets, and haughty shopkeepers to finally achieve the object of your quest--a new nutmeg grater, or the pointed shoes to match your pointed hat for the Acadamae ball, or whatever--then yeah, you might get some XP. But that's for the roleplaying, not for the mere fact of shopping.
