Firearm critcals

How unreasonable would it be to have any/all critical confirmations resolve against normal AC (even if the attack qualified to hit with touch)?

I feel that all fire arms should just be normal attacks the guns and gunslingers would just be a normal class then.

but its your game tell the players the rules and play i it causes problems then fix it
