Asmodean Paladin (Antipaladin Archtype)

Homebrew and House Rules

1 person marked this as a favorite.

These are just a few minor changes that can be made to the Antipaladin Class to create an Unholy Knight of the Prince of Darkness.

Alignment: Lawful Evil

Hit Die: d10.

Starting Wealth: 5d6 × 10 gp (average 175 gp.) In addition, each character begins play with an outfit worth 10 gp or less.

Class skills

The asmodian paladin’s class skills are Bluff (Cha), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (religion)(Int), Knowledge (nobility)(Int), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis), Spellcraft (Int).

Skill Ranks per Level: 2 + Int modifier.

Aura of Dignity (Su)

At 3rd level, an Asmodian Paladin radiates a palpably daunting aura that causes all enemies within 10 feet to take a –2 penalty on saving throws against fear effects and allies within 10 feet to gain a +2 bonus. Creatures that are normally immune to fear lose that immunity while within 10 feet of an Asmodian Paladin with this ability. Whenever an Asmodian Paladan fails a save vesus a fear effect, the penalties and durations are halved. This ability functions only while the antipaladin remains conscious, not if he is unconscious or dead.

This replaces Aura of Cowardice.

Aura of Punishment (Su)

At 17th level, an antipaladin gains DR 5/good. Each enemy within 10 feet takes a –2 penalty on saving throws against compulsion effects while allies gain a +2 bonus. If the Amsodian fails save versus a Compulsion effect, the penalties and durations are halved. This ability functions only while the antipaladin is conscious, not if he is unconscious or dead.

This replaces Aura Of Depravity.

Author's Note: Other minor changes will have to be made, but these are just the main changes. Happy gaming and Please leave a comment.

I have been digging around the web to find help building a Asmodian Antipaladin. We are going to play Way of the Wicked and its going to be pretty much everyone against each other and not much party help. As much as i hate min/max i think i am going to have to get some help from some of you rules lawyers out there. I need a powerful self sufficient character. Any ideas would be very helpful and greatly appreciated.
