Jar Jar was the stereo-typical Jamaican character right?

He has a nice accent. The subtle overtones of being stoned came across well too.
However, it did surprise me that Lucas would play the racial stereotype card so heavily.
Perhaps painting in such broad brush strokes makes it easier for children to identify
with his characters.

I've watch the movie 3 or 4 times now. It's fun.

I've never understood why people like Star Wars. It was no match for the Last Starfighter or Dune. As for Star Trek, the best movie in that series is Galaxy Quest.
