What's your character?

Hey, I just wanted to get an idea of what everyone's starting character class will be? Possibly go into detail with what you are going to do with him/her afterwords.

Mine will be a Human Wizard which specializes in Necromancy with the opposed will be Enchantment and Illusion. If they allow character templates then I will be a lich, possibly make a tower for my character. Then I'll make an army of undead (if it can happen)

Et tu?

Keep in mind, Pathfinder Online will only pay homage to the PnP rules, if they use any at all. We still have no idea how combat mechanics are going to work, but I'm not sure if, for example, wizards are going to still have specialist schools. Or even use prepared spells. There are already two or three threads about various parts of game mechanics and combat; take a look around those. Still, nice character idea! I know you'll at least be able to make your wizard look like a necromancer, if not fully act like one. Player-summoned armies of the undead? Not sure if they'll be in game. Black robes/skull decorations? I sure as hell hope so.

As for me, I still can't decide between bard, rogue, or sorcerer. I definitely want a character who loves telling and listening to stories among friends, and likes supporting and encouraging people, but has no qualms about violence. Sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do, and better you than me. He'll stay Good-aligned, though... mostly.

Making some assumptions about what rules will allow: A pure-classed elven scout. The actual archetype used may vary based on availability and rules as they are understood at release.

For some reason, I've become attached to the idea of a gnome berserker. Seems as good an idea as any! :)

@Arbalester it's still too early to tell so I'm just having fun with playing around with some ideas.

@Deciusbrutus Nice, more info will become available in due time to understand the game.

@Kobold Cleaver good mix, reminds me of a pixie berserker

Thanks. I've actually got a personality worked out for him and everything. Should be fun!

Your necromancer sounds interesting. He'd certainly be fun to play.

Necromancy is tempting...but I'm leaning more towards an evil illusionist, and hoping that stealth skills are not going to be reserved for any particular archtype(s), I intend to make him a sneaky and devious bastard. Not the kind who uses illusions to amuse stupid farmers at carnivals, but the kind who uses them to spread as much madness as possible.

Mine will be some type of scout/tracker type. HE/She will be a bounty/treasure hunter personality type. Other traits are up in the air.

Dwarf fighter, cleric, or paladin depending on game mechanics. Focusing mostly on defensive/survivability skills.

Probably going for a cleric, half elf or human. My goal is to run a inn/tavern as well as part time adventurer for hire. Not sure if I'm going with cayden cailean or erastil. My plan is too run my inn, helping other players and making my inn popular (hopefully making it less likely to be attacked) Plus going out and making extra cash as a casual adventurer.

I was going to get my group to roll as a LE clergy of Zon-Kuthon, flaying ourselves in public and being absurd.

If that falls through, there's always Asmodeus.

I hope to be able to play an Elf Wizard specializing in Divination with Necromancy and Enchantment as opposition schools. I'd really like to be able to take the Scroll Scholar alternate archetype. And I hope to be quite effective with a longbow.

I'd like to go with a crafter first.

The open world PvP always makes me a little nervous. However, with a crafter, I can supply others with weapons or armor or whatever and they supply me with gold. Win win.

Druid if they have the higher level shapeshifting stuff. "Thousand Faces" would be interesting!

It will be interesting to see how the mechanics work differently for sorcerors and wizards.

Eh hard one, will be Dwarven or Human, Fighter or Paladin.

Human or Half Elf, Fighter or Ranger. Explorer, builder, resource collector, with some fighting skills.

Niceeeeee.

I'm considering two things:

1) A human sorcerer with the undead bloodline

2) An elf ranger with a spider companion (if it's possible!)

Either way I want to work around like minded adventurers who wish to spread necromancy throughout Galorion.

Well im hoping for a sorcerer/cleric, or sorcerrer/oracle mystic theurge type character. So far i know in the core rules there isnt reall a way to make a good MT with spontaneous casters but i hope that changes for PFO. Bloodline would have to be abyssal or infernal and he would be a summoner/buffer who sommons demons and devils to do his bidding.

Leaning towards either a ranger or monk class I think. Something more likely to be found far from civilization most of the time.

If they do social interaction right, I'd love to go for a bard, but if push comes to shove... straight up fighter or paladin.
