As a maniacal comic reader (well, more manga than anything else) i heard about his death.
Never one of my favored authors i admit,but a great artist.
Sad. I liked his work.
Ah, what a loss... But what a body of work left behind!
Aw man. First thing I ever saw by him was the epic comics Airtight Garage; I didn't even know comics could look that good till I saw it.
The work's still out there, but sad day for the fans.
And we never did get an English version of the last 5 Blueberry books...sigh
As much as he was beloved by fans, I think he had a much more profound influence on other artists. He really pushed the envelope and expanded the conceptions of what was possible in the medium.
