I do! seriously how are merchants going to compeat with just anybody with a backpack?
I want to design and color it from the ground up. get some high walls with arrow slits for fighting back bandits from cover. Maybe a archer turate on the roof. Upgrade the wheels with blades to cut down chasers and so on.
And I could take my whole party with me to fight.
What do you want to build?

I want a wagon too!
or at least packhorses or saddlebags. (And riverboats).
More specifically, I want craftable items that incrase carrying capacity and inventory space. Pack animals can be summoned, tamed or purchased, but wagons (and boats) should be playercrafted.
Since we lose equipment on death, it is too risky to carry around all our belongings, but we should have the choice to do so. A guild moving off to found a new settlement should be able to bring a few wagonloads of materials along, and traders should have the option to move their entire stock if they feel safe or lucky enough.
Of course, pack animals and wagons should be clearly visible to bandits lurking in their hideouts (which leads to the tactic of using empty wagons as bandit bait, as well as bandits extorting protection money rather than attacking the wagons).
Personally i would like the option to hire NPC caravan guards as well - just make them expensive enough that they will only be used for special occasions. (NPC guards could even protect your wagon after you die, giving you the chance to reclaim it after respawn).

So, not only do you want a wagon, but you also want to Paint Your Wagon?
Awesome :)
In all seriousness, I very much want wagons to actually be required to haul large quantities of resources. I also think the stuff inside wagons should not be destroyed when the owner is killed and his corpse looted. Attackers should be able to take control of a wagon after defeating or routing everyone in the group that was defending it.

In a game with a map the size this game is supposed to have wagons are a MUST. I mean really if it takes your hours or even days to cross large portions of terrain do you really want to do so with a backpack?
Personally I think wagons and pack-animals should be fully lootable, but once the rider/driver is defeated people should be able to seize control of them. I mean your general newb in the starter are isn't going to have a wagon or a mule. They will have their backpack. If you can afford a wagon or mule you can afford to lose it. Also this will entice bandits to seek out wealthy traders, and even camp major trade-routes rather than backpack wearing newbs.
Wealthy traders can afford hired guards, and local law enforcement won't want the economies of their towns hurt by bandit blockades. This sparks conflict over resources. Conflict over resources = fun.
Here are my suggested methods of transport.
Donkeys- Can be rode or up to one can be lead behind a walker or rider allowing for up to two donkeys. Do not carry much, carrying capacity is reduced if they are rode based on the weight of the rider. Do not suffer much penalty for off roading and can be rode through most terrains.
Mules- Can be lead or used to pull wagons. Carry the most of any pack animal. Do not suffer much penalty for off roading and can be rode through most terrains
Horses- Can be rode or up to one can be lead behind a walker or rider allowing for up to two horses. Also can be used to pull wagons. Carry a moderate amount, carrying capacity is reduced if they are rode based on the weight of the rider. Do not suffer much penalty for off roading and can be rode through most terrains.
Camels- Can be rode or up to one can be lead behind a walker or rider allowing for up to two camels. Also can be used to pull wagons. Carry a moderate amount, carrying capacity is reduced if they are rode based on the weight of the rider. Do not suffer much penalty for off roading and can be rode through most terrains. Are resistant to harsh/dry climates.
Mountain Goats- Can be rode by halflings and other small sized creatures or up to one can be lead behind a walker or rider allowing for up to two goats. Do not carry much, carrying capacity is reduced if they are rode based on the weight of the rider. Do not suffer much penalty for off roading and can be rode through most terrains. Can climb and even be rode up extremely steep terrain. Perfect for trading through mountain passes inaccessible to most traders.
Riding Dogs- Can be rode by halflings and other small sized creatures or up to one can be lead behind a walker or rider allowing for up to two dogs. Do not carry much, carrying capacity is reduced if they are rode based on the weight of the rider. Do not suffer much penalty for off roading and can be rode through most terrains. Are extremely efficient at riding through rough terrain like marshes and thick forests. Move much more quietly than any of the other pack animals.
Wagons- Move very slowly on any surface but flat rock, hard dirt, and roads and easily get stuck in rough terrain. Can be pulled by any large pack animal such as mules, horses, and camels. Are usually hitched with two animals and carry at least six times as much as any single pack animal. Wagons have long benches on each side that can be put up or down allowing for the transportation of either goods, passengers, or a mix of each.

Wagons are amazing, and I love riding dogs, just because...I mean...it's a RIDING DOG!
Anyways, I would add tall ships to this list. I don't mean just the kind of tall ship at a dock, you board it, and then you arrive after a loading screen. I want a tall ship I buy for myself, need a minimum crew to run, and then can sail places.
Yes, I am a maritime history junky.
Anyways, just my suggestion, and I love paintable wagons.

Of course, you won't always move at the fastest possible rate. Tracking, searching, and other such activities will slow you down. And while some conveyances will allow you to move a lot of stuff at one time, the draft animals that pull them generally move at less than walking speed.
It looks like wagons and the like are in the plans.
