Seeking links for help please.

I need to create a 1st level character for pathfinder society play and I've been able to find bits and pieces on creating them but I'm wondering if there's a guide anywhere that gives a set of directions on what to do outlining what is and what isn't legal? For example . . .

Choose Race: These ones are legal, races from book X, races from book Y.
Generate Scores: 20 point buy.
Choose traits: These ones are legal, these ones are from offical release X.

and so on, I was going to just make it off the core book but then I found that the advanced player guide is apparently allowed and I'm just not sure what resources I can use. I'd love to play a Kitsune but everything I've seen say's only core book races are allowed yet I know someone who ran a magus which isn't in the core book at an event so I'm confused.

With regards to races it's easy, only the core rulebook races are legal unless you have boon which explicitly allows an alternate race. The links Jan provided will help you get squared with everything else.

Thanks I'd found the second link but it was divided up by product which meant I was hunting through it for all the equipment entries and then all the skill entries etc. Shame that I'm not likely to get a Kitsune boon though.
