In the last session the party killed the evil arena beast master Walter. After Walter fell his golem proceeded to explode Walter's body disappeared leaving his gear behind. When Walter's companion ooze Geli was finally defeated the party was taken on a trip back in time. Geli had used one last spell to communicate his plight to the party. In an attempt to grant his loved one immortality he had crafted a potion. Not wanting to give this potion to his loved one untested he first used it on himself. It turned him into a gelatinous cube but he still retained his intellect and spellcasting ability, however there was a new ravenous hunger that overtook him. When his loved one came to check on him he devoured her. Mad with grief and hunger he went below the streets to the sewers devouring pests and anyone unlucky enough to cross his path. Numerous years of eating and eating caused him to lose his sanity. However, when he met the gnome Walter the hunger quieted Walter was able to communicate with him and he regained his sense of self. The party experienced all that as it unfolded from Geli's point of view and then came to their senses back in the arena.

After they returned to the arena they immediately set forth searching the arena and the surrounding area for Walter if the fiend still remained. Walter was no where to be found and the tent he kept outside the city was empty. However, they did find the possesions of the people who disappeared and a strange shrine. Righly and Jeevna identified the melting red eye as a symbol of Jubilex the faceless demon lord of ooze monsters. It seemed as if Walter had been a devout follower. The party closed the arena down and set about the kingdom's business for a month. After the month ended the party realized their one-time companion Alexander had gone on more than the drinking binge, as no one in kingdom had seen him for quite some time. The last time the party recalled seeing Alexander was right before they went into the tomb of the lich Vordakai. Upon exiting the tomb Alexander was gone since he was an unreliable companion the party thought nothing of it. So Righly with the help of his newly acquired eye attempted to scry Alexander. Although successful he couldn't glean much from his whereabouts as he appeared to be in the cave or underground. Upon further inspection Righly noticed that Alexander's tongue had been cut out, his eyes sewn open, and his hands and feet bound. A cloaked and hooded figure approached Alexander and set food before him. Alexander then charged the figure only to be forced back by invisible wall. The figure laughed maniacally at Alexander's misfortune. After much debate the party decided to interrogate the diggers led by the strange man Emerald Jack. Since the diggers had just arrived in kingdom and Alexander was or appeared to be underground. The party went to the last known location of the diggers only to find they had packed up and left apparently gone on to another site in the kingdom. However as the party left the monk(the companion of Piper Fynche) bid Piper stay back for he had noticed that the ground where the diggers had been digging when last they were here seemed strange. When Piper tried to step upon the ground he started to fall through only to be caught by his friend Tobias the monk.
Tobias lowered Piper further into the hole they discovered the hole to be 6 feet deep but it seemed to tunnel into the ground further at a slope. Tobias and Piper ventured further into the tunnel but as the tunnel seemed to stretch on the decided it best to go back and gather the rest of the group. With all present they descended into the tunnel. After a long while Zari and Piper began to hear talking. Although Piper did not understand language Zari did. It was a language known as undercommon and it was spoken mostly by kobolds and goblins. It seemed there were three distinct voices complaining about being stuck on scouting/guard duty. Zari bid the party to stay back and crept forward to further investigate. He saw three dark skinned white-haired elves, at least that was his first thought but he noticed that they seemed to be a bit shorter and lithe than normal elves. Trusting in diplomacy Zari tried to communicate only to be set upon by hand crossbows. Being an experienced adventurer he dodged their bolts and engaged in combat with them. The party heard the sounds of battle and advanced upon Zari's location. One of the strange elves dropped to Zari's blade and then another to Zahir's arrows the third fled deeper into the tunnel. A quick search of the bodies revealed a note which was written in undercommon. Jeevna who could also speak the language read it: "Mistress Foekrisst commands you to stay at this spot until further order is given should enemies approach engage and capture them. Should they prove too much retreat and collapse the tunnel." Jeevna immediately cried out RUN! Tobias grabbed the elf that still clung to life and they escpaed the collasping tunnel just in time. When they got back to Stag Falls they threw the strange one in the dungeon but did not heal him enough for him to wake only to keep him alive. The group split up some went in search for info on this Foekrisst others on these strange elves. It so happened that Piper had an elf crewing aboard his ship. When Piper approached the elf and told him what the party discovered the elf asked that Piper execute the dark skinned elf and burn his body in exchange for this and for keeping knowledge of this being secret he would send for his cousins to come explain the situation. Piper agreed and went to Duke Zahir to inform him of what needed to be done. Piper shot the elf in the head while he slept wounded and burned his body at sea.
Jeevna discovered that there was a noble family in Cheliax with the name Foekrisst but only one heir remained and she was a recluse. Zari's search turned up a little bit more substantial results. He discovered that a person with that name had been rumored to be staying up at Oleg's Post. Once Zari returned to the group with this information they rode up to the Post. Once there they approached their treasurer Oleg to see if he knew of this Foekrisst. As there were not a time of war Oleg hadn't really been paying attention to the comings and goings of the patrons of the post but he suggested to check at the tavern as travelers sometimes paid the keeper to sleep by the fire. Piper stayed to enjoy Svetlana's cooking and spend more time with Oleg while Righly, Zari, and Jeevna went to the tavern. (Zahir had elected to spend time with his wife Briar Rose.) The tavern keep did indeed know Foekrisst as she was a beauty of a women and a half-elf at that after he described her Jeevna's jaw dropped. This Foekrisst he described matched the description of Jeevna's onetime mentor Litri'aull who had been plaguing the party for unknown reasons. Foekrisst had left the tavern stay two days before after being there for a month she did tell the keep she would be paying a visit to Stag Falls sometime in the near future though. The keep reported that only two people paid visit to Foekrisst in the months she had been staying one he recognized as the Duchess Briar Rose she had come only once. The other was a striking young man with a strange cat the party knew this man could be no other than Emerald Jack. He had paid her visit many times in the past two weeks the party bade the keep to send word if he saw either Foekrisst or Emerald Jack and left back for Stag Falls. Having five more days until Piper's friends arrived they set about their normal business. Jeevna as counselor of the people listened to problems, gave solutions, and wrote down things that needed to be brought up at the next council meeting. Righly who was magister took to training the young wizards of the kingdom and a harsh trainer he was. Zari the Royal assassin make sure peace was kept in the kingdom by making his presence felt he also was on the lookout for a lady to share his bed with and perhaps his future. Piper Fynche who was the kingdom spymaster went about his business as usual listening in on conversations he thought to be suspicious and keeping his eyes and ears open.
The party met for breakfast the next morning Piper seem disheveled and a bit tired. When asked about his condition he reported only "Just some strange dreams," so the group dismissed it and went about the business meeting that night for dinner. The next morning when Piper came in a similar condition however group again questioned him about his state. He told them once again he had experienced a strange dream and he was aboard a huge redwood ship with the mast of the dragon giving orders in a voice that was not his own. In the dream he appeared to be older and scarred but he could tell he was captain of the ship he was on. Was this a vision of the future? Piper certainly hoped so his friends however were skeptical. The day progressed as normal with a group again meeting for dinner and then departing for bed. When Piper woke the next morning in his cabin he was wet like he'd been standing on the ship at sea although his window was shut. Once again he and his party discussed the dream and once again they decided to let it go. That night Piper dreamt again and again he was aboard the ship near an island and he had the feeling he had just buried treasure on that island. When he woke that morning he had dirt under his fingernails. At breakfast he showed the group and Jeevna somewhat of a nature expert identified the dirt as sand from a beach and it could not have come from anywhere within the kingdom. Jeevna decided to rest that day so that night she could keep watch over Piper. As he slept his hair started blowing back as if the wind were whipping yet no breeze was coming through the cabin in the window was shut. His skin began to moisten with saltwater he began to rock as if on board the ship even though the ship he was on lay still. Jeevna a practitioner of magic cast a spell that would detect if any were present to find that there was none.
When Piper woke he reported he had seen the name of the ship in his dream it was called the "Red Dragon." The very same ship of Captain McCready who had warned Piper in his dreams the year before about the actual red dragon Darathryx who slumbered in the Kingdom. The day was spent drawing many conclusions as to the meaning of these new dreams but nothing definitive was achieved. That night when Piper slept for the first time he dreamt in first person and had full control over what he was doing although the voice was still not his own. Jeevna also found herself that night aboard the redwood ship in her dreams staring at Piper who did indeed look older and sounded not like himself. "We're about to be boarded Cap'n!" A voice from the crow's nest proclaimed. A ship ran up beside them and dropped planks. Aboard that ship also in their own dreams were Righly, Zahir, and Zari.
