Need some input on scaling Whispering Cairn for group of (7) experienced players who are at 5th level. Players gain a 1d4 in Hit Points and skill points per level using advancement dice. We are using and have access to all 3.5 source books.
Group - Rakshasa (Naztharune), 1/2 Ogre figher, barbarian fighter, Rogue/scout, Ranger, Wizard, 1/2 orc warrior -
No cleric that is what I run, not sure if they will hire a cleric or not. The group has good speed, jump, trip, disarm skils - fighters hit for very good damage (15 to 20 points for full attack) with mainly masterwork and +1 weapons.
Thoughts -
Switching out wolves for dire wolves
Bump Earth Elemental to mediume but max HP's
Clean up shower room a bit and bump water elem to Large.
Replace ghouls with ghast.

Give the earth elemental the half-fiend template and advance it to 3HD. That gives it DR 5/magic and spell resistance, and fits in with the idea of it being a tainted elemental. It's darkness ability combined with darkvision will give it 20% concealment without losing anything.
I'd keep it small.
You could add another swarm. Those things do not lose their punch.
Increase the DC on the wind trap.
Increase the DC on the save in the sleeping chamber,and give the beetle therein immunity to the magic, as a mindless creature.
Change the ghoul to a wight. The ghast's big bonus, it's stentch, won't work under water. You could likewise animate the other seeker corpse.
Change the brown to yellow mold. Put two violet fungi in that spot as well, covered with yellow or brown mold.
