Hi guys,
I am about to start a Kingmaker campaign, and I am really looking forward to it. One of the things I really would like, is to capture to the mood of unexplored wilderness, and to that end, I would like some mood-setting resources.
I can make most of them myself, but I am a lazy person, so if any of you guys have already done the hard work, I could just use yours if you are willing to share.
I need:
Player handouts (FenixFire007 did those already for the first three chapters, here: http://paizo.com/forums/dmtz2sqe?Kingmaker-Player-Handouts)
The pics from the pdf. They are great, and I would like to print them. I can extract them myself, but if one of you guys have done that already, I might as well use those.
Wilderness random event tables pr. terrain. Not as much wandering monsters, more like "you are startled by a rabbit" "a squirrel ate some of your food", etc.
Terrain pics. Ie. pics of woods, plains, marches etc, as you picture them in the Greenbelt.
Background sound effects for the different terrain types. For instance, a short 1-minute loop for when the PCs are first exploring a new hex. I am good at that sort of thing, so I will make and post some if no one else steps forward.
Background music. A flute or lut for campfire mood, etc.
I will collect the resources and upload them somewhere for all to enjoy :-)

Check this out.
FWIW, I use a very simple event roll for exploration:
Entering hex: Roll d20: 1 - Random Encounter, 10 - Scenery Event, 20 - Location Event.
Daily/Nightly: Roll d20: 1-3 - Random Encounter, 10 - Scenery Event, 20 - Weather Event.
Random Encounter: Use the random encounter table for this terrain and area. (I have simple d20 based tables for different parts of the Stolen Lands, but the ones in the books work fine.)
Scenery Event: Terrain appropriate encounter with e.g. non-dangerous wildlife or NPCs. Examples: a cave, a rare animal, valuable herbs, a hunter or other traveler.
Location Event: The party stumbles on a standard or hidden location in the hex as if they had explored the hex - i.e. hidden locations they don't know about still require rolls.
Weather Event: Significant weather event like a hazard or change from usual weather patterns for terrain/season.
