Hey everyone,
I've been recently asked to GM PFS games once in a while at my flgs. It won't be until Feb 16th, so I thought I'd start looking for advice now.
I was hoping anyone could give me some general GM advice for PF (this will be my first attempt at GMing PF). Also, any advice you might have for running PFS games as opposed to just general GMing.
I'm comfortable running a table in a public play game (I DM 4E Encounters regularly) its more the system I need to adjust to, as I don't know any GMing tricks that might be system specific. I had never DMed 3.5 before, just played.
I'll be running shades of ice pt1, which I have played before, so that's a bonus.
Anyways, any advice at all is appreciated! Thanks!
P.S. I also posted this message on the normal advice forums, but was directed here for more advice specific to PFS.

I'v run same scenario. So I can give you some tips about it:
SPOILER
Brush up upon cold weather effects, PCs might wanna do some free stuff around town, constantly walking around in freezing weather might be hazardous to their health.
They might spend some time on Searching for clues in Trollheim, it's great moment for roleplay or other purposes, but if it gets boring or slow you might want to speed it up.
Those 4 minibosses at end might be a bit overwhelming if not handled carefully by PCs. Just stick to the scenario.
Small tips, hope they help.

Search in the GM section for your scenario ahead of the game.
In most cases you will find reviews, problems encountered etc. there. An error in a map, an encounter that doesn't make sense ... Others might have spotted it ahead of you and might have commented.
Some other GM also might just post his experience with this specific scenario and it can be useful to read how a different group did this.
And once you are finished - give back to the community and write you comment. I know - I do this much to seldom ...

Feeroper, welcome to the wonderful world of GM'ing PFS! Hope you have as much fun doing it as many of us have.
In addition to checking the GM forums for reviews of the specific scenario, one of our active members, Painlord, has assembled a nice collection of "how-to" threads that you might want to check out. The one specific to GM'ing is HERE. You can also find other useful advice threads by checking his Paizo.com HOME page.

I would suggest taking a gander at Painlord's How to be a Better Judge. Actually, you can't go wrong reading pretty much any of Painlord's guides.

Someone up thread may have suggested that. ;-)
