Since WotC will support multiple iterations of the game I wondered if they will use 3.5E or Pathfinder for the 3E era.
Sigh.
Please, please show me where it says WotC will be doing this. The new iteration of D&D is drawing inspiration from all eras of play, not outright going back and supporting previous editions again.

Wasn't there a note that campaign settings like FR will be supported by (light)rules for all eras?

Yeah, eras of time within the Forgotten Realms historical timeline, as in, within the game itself. Not all eras of D&D.

Right now it's a statement without meaning or context. Multiple iterations could very well be limited to multiple styles of 5E and 4E or just multiple variants of 5E. If they try to reincorporate D20, I can see wind up doing no good for anyone.

Ok, again, show me where they said they were going to support multiple iterations of D&D. Link exactly where it says they are doing this.
Or, ya know, read the rest of this thread.
