On making changes to an order aftrer the "In the next week or so ..." email

Hi,

I have in a couple of occasions made changes to my order after receiving said email, but before I get the order confirmation email. It's really cool we're allowed to do that.

But I have noticed that when I do this, the actual shipping of the items actually occurs later than usual, in other words, next week or so turns more like in the next 2 weeks or so, which is not as cool.

My question is, is this perception correct?, I can imagine the cause but, is there anything that can be done about it?

Thanks,

DB

Some of this may depend upon what you are adding to the order. If it is something that they have to bring into their warehouse then it would delay the shipping. It would usually say in the item description. Other things may affect the delay as well.

We do actually want to redo the confirmation emails to make things a bit more clear. In the meantime, StanC is correct in that adding items that we have to bring in from distribution will cause the order to potentially go past the "next week or so estimate". Basically, any items that have a "will ship from warehouse" estimate of longer than "2-6 business days".

In this instance it looks like the extra delay was due to the weather related issues our area had last week that shut down our warehouse.
