Hahaha, that one was always hilarious.

Wasn't Tom Hanks in some horrible propaganda movie way back when in a similar vein?

Mazes and Monsters, based on the book of the same name.

They also have one called "Little Johnny is going to hell." Apparently little johnny has impure thoughts and smokes.

Shadow Lodge

It gets better. Just below the comic is a "further reading" section.

Straight Talk on Dungeons and Dragons

Some gems from the article:

Quote:
Dungeons and Dragons is a tragic and tangled subject. It is essentially a feeding program for occultism and witchcraft.
Quote:
On top of that, the second issue is that the materials themselves, in many cases, contain authentic magical rituals. I can tell you this from my own experience. I was a witch high priest (Alexandrian tradition) during the period 1973-84. During some of that period (1976-80) I was also involved in hardcore Satanism. We studied and practiced and trained more than 175 people in the Craft. Our "covendom" was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; just a short drive away from the world headquarters of TSR, the company which makes Dungeons and Dragons in Lake Geneva, WI. In the late 1970's, a couple of the game writers actually came to my wife and I as prominent "sorcerers" in the community. They wanted to make certain the rituals were authentic. For the most part, they are. These two guys sat in our living room and took copious notes from us on how to make sure the rituals were truly right "from the book," (this meaning that they actually came from magic grimoires or workbooks). They seemed satisfied with what they got and left us thankfully.

The second quote is an obvious lie. Unless authentic rituals for summoning demons includes dice, cheetos, and arguments about who makes a better star trek captain (Picard is the better captain, although Kirk is the better drinking buddy in case you were wondering). Of course the author doesn't give any specific examples (because he is lying).

He goes on to cite a rash of suicides that is much much lower than the national average and much much lower than the number of kids who kill themselves (per capita) over grades, gf/bf problems, and sports. The author is one of the most deceitful people I have ever had the displeasure of reading.

Oh well, I am off to follow the directions out of my Pathfinder book so that I can summon a Succubus:

Components V, S, F/DF (a tiny bag and a small candle)

They aren't very specific....

Wow, my DM never offered to teach me real magic, and we never had girls in our high school group. I feel jipped.

Spoiler:
Also imagine how much different the context of that section would be if the teacher had been male.

I kind of wish the original comic posted was true. They said Magic was real! Double Double toil and trouble, lets get this coven rocking!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

That was hysterical. Plus if magic was real screw being a cleric everyone knows sorcerer/wizard is the way to go.

Binding spell for my parents? Hell yea!
