The demo is easy and pretty awesome...then you spend $20 to buy it and very suddenly learn just how hard it is.
-There are no saves, only checkpoints.
If you don't make it to a check point and run out of "Retry cameras" (they're these camcorders you will find along the way that enable instant re-do of a failure), then you start over at the very beginning of the last checkpoint! Checkpoints are NOT at the beginning or end of a tough event.
-The map is very closed.
If I were this guy, I'd be digging in dumpsters and rooting through boxes and looking inside vehicles for all the stuff I need to survive. The options to interact with the environment are very limited. Plus, when there is an option it's unmarked and serendipitous at best.
-No melee option!?!
Why can't I at least fight with my fists?
Probably the inability to save is the most frustrating feature. I'm not super-adept at video games in the first place. I also don't have a whole lot of time to devote to the Xbox. Unless I hit a lucky streak soon, this game is destined for the dustbin.

Update:
After over 90 minutes of re-tries and realizing finally that I simply don't know how to get past the three thugs trying to kidnap my daughter without getting fatally shot or hacked to death, I give up!
$20 wasted.
This game is too realistic. Two slashes from a machete kill you; two bullets at mid-range knock you down so the fat guy with the machete can cut your throat., and the g~&*!+n game won't let me melee or run the f+~# away.
What a shame. The game looked so promising.
