Apparently, the conductor stopped the music, turned and asked
for the cell phone to be turned off.

It took a while because the dude was paralyzed with embarrassment.

I saw this earlier today.

Like.

what if it was an important call?

Too cool. Hopefully it was lesson learned not only for the phone owner, but everyone at the concert (and hopefully anyone that sees the video.)

Not me. I leave my cell phone on wherever the hell I want to.
Free country, man.

Isn't that what the vibrate function is for? I suppose I should rephrase the question as: Isn't that what the vibrate function was originally intended for?

Neeah,.....I think some people just walk around looking to be wounded and hurt, so they can feel important or something.

I mean, just ignore it. It's what I'd do.

As has been proven elsewhere, if where the Philharmonic Orchestra was playing was private property, they do have the authority to ask you to turn off your cell phone or throw you out if you do not comply.

Alamo Drafthouse

Yeah, how do they get off on public condemnation?

OT: Hee hee!

2 people marked this as a favorite.

It's a pity the philharmonic doesn't retain a turntablist. It would be the idea moment for a record scratch.

The difference is quite noticeable, to the extent that I refuse to go out to the movies anywhere EXCEPT the Alamo Drafthouse.
