Words of Power as Psionics?

I had a similar thought. I think it could work. Maybe just add a few more words to the mix.

One thing that bugs me is that you keep your bonus spells from bloodline/specialization/etc as regular spells. I'm thinking of having them just get a bonus word that fits the theme of whatever gave them the bonus spell.

I guess it depends what you mean by "psionics".

If you're just looking for your psionics system to use a different mechanic than regular spellcasting, Words of Power is as good a place to start as any.

But if you're looking for a list of spells with a psionic feel to them, the Words of Power sorcerer spell list (for example) is probably less "psionic-y" than the bard spell list.
