*Spoilers* Subsituting Emraag the Glutton in The Lightless Depths

Savage Tide Adventure Path

While I like Emraag the Glutton as presented, I was looking into altering the encounter to inject a more otherworldly feel that would hint at the alien atmosphere of The Lightless Depths. How does swapping out the Dragon Turtle for an Uzollru (both the same CR), described on page 41 of Dragon Magazine #349, sound to you?

Do anyone think that an Uzollru might be a bit too much? It does make sense, in my mind, for an aquatic abyssal monster to be present on the Isle of Dread's surrounding waters.

Please share your thoughts.

CB out.

I love the Uzollru. Personally, I wouldnt use it becuase I am running LD and stressing the ratcheting of the weirdness underground. Basically, after Olangru, I have the party scared of the surface of the Isle. I want them to know that things are even more alien and evil underground, and I wouldnt want a second squid/centipede to steal the bilewretch's thunder. But, if you arent really stressing the alienness within the Cerulean Curtain, by all means use it.

I really really like the Uzollru, though. I am definitely throwing some of them into the waters around Gaping Maw.
