Interbreeding and dragons

First off, I've noticed that a half dragon template can be applied to pretty much anything.

This makes me wonder, can dragons interbreed with one another?

That's not something mechanics really can cover; what would determine that would be the needs of the story you're trying to tell. As with any NPC.

Well, given that I don't think such hybridization would occur willingly... it would likely be the mother (who was likely the metallic dragon) would end up raising them. Unless of course, the chromatic male kept her prisoner as a breeding slave.

However temperament is more than just upbringing... And if the parents are predisposed to certain alignments, what does that mean for their offspring?

Another thing, what exactly would they look like, coloration wise?

Like would a red/silver hybrid be a short of shiny pearly pink?
