I know the holidays have added an extra layer of complication to the process, but I was wondering if the delay in getting this order processed was due more to a product shortage or just general holiday bog-down?

It looks like we were waiting for it to arrive from distribution as part of our 4 - 11 day estimate before it ships from our facility. Checking our current inventory it looks like we just received your copy a bit ago and should have it shipping out to you soon.
