Paizo.com needs a mobile app

Website Feedback

I want to be able to look around and read the message boards better and easier on my phone is there any plans for a mobile AP for the site?

I'd like to second this motion. Not everyone can access the site from work since there are site blockers and such. But getting out your phone or other mobile device during a break is fine pretty much everywhere.

It's probably expensive, especially if there's no one on staff who is trained in making such items, but it might be worth paying someone to make it.

The PRD site is great so someone knows hoe to do something

After seeing how nicely the mobile version of the PRD can work, I too would love to see such an attempt made with the messageboards. The current way in which sub-forums get collapsed, and the way the Focus function have been coming along would seemingly lend itself well to such a presentation.

You know, I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's on the list. That said, since I did all the mobilization for the PRD I know we can't do it easily, currently. There is a LOT going on with the messageboard content and until we get some of the html more inline with the way standards work, that's going to be difficult. The goal would be to only have one site and that it just works slightly differently depending on the some simple browser configurations.

I wouldn't expect it soon but we're making a lot of these kinds of changes.

It's more than just the HTML, it's deciding how a mobile version of paizo.com would look and behave. And not just messageboards, a mobile version of paizo.com would need to support all or at least most of the functionality in the current site, and that's a lot. I've been thinking about this a lot over the past several months and have some ideas, but the time involved in making it happen means that it comes behind several other improvements on the todo list.
