Very cool. For what its worth, for whatever reason, I always pictured it like a plasma globe. Like lightning, but purple!
Oh, what I had in mind was more like a glutinous black substance spray surrounded by crackling mauve energy. Like some sort of electrified marmite. <Ugh!>
