Of course, a mere coincidence of the Gregorian calendar is supremely unlikely to attract the attention of the unknown cosmos. I would pay attention to planetary alignments rather than calendars; The Great Old Ones probably cares nothing for our human mathematics, but our solar system's gravity might permeate to whatever dimension it resides within.
