The current rules use Strength as the main modifier for bonuses to hit and I have never liked it much. So I have been playing around with different attack styles to better compliment different styles of combat. Feedback would be appreciated.
Instinctive Style Uses Wisdom modifier as the bonus to hit. Fighting by trusting your intuition.
Brutish Style Uses Strength modifier as the bonus to hit. Using your power to smash through the defenses of others. Only the Brutish style can select the Power Attack feat or any feat with Power Attack as a prerequisite.
Deft Style Uses Dexterity modifier as the bonus to hit. Your speed is vital to getting hits in. Only the Deft Style can select the Weapon Finesse feat or any feat with Weapon Finesse as a prerequisite. Apply only 1/2 your Dexterity bonus to hit when using a two-handed weapon.
Trained Style Uses Intelligence modifier as the bonus to hit. Training in combat to fight smartly. Only the Trained Style can select the Know Your Enemy feat or any feat with Know Your Enemy as a prerequisite. Apply only your Strength modifier to damage when using a one-handed weapon with two hands or a two-handed weapon.
Weapon Finesse(Updated)
You are able to swing your light weapons with even greater ease.
Benefit: With a light weapon, rapier, whip, or spiked chain made for a creature of your size category, you may use 1-1/2 times your Dexterity modifier on attack rolls. If you carry a shield, its armor check penalty applies to your attack rolls.
Special: Natural weapons are considered light weapons.
Know Your Enemy(New Feat)
Your studies have increased your combat abilities.
Benefit: Select a single Knowledge skill. Whenever you successfully identify a monster's abilities and weaknesses with that Knowledge skill, add +1 to your attacks against that creature. This bonus increase to +2 at 5th level and by an additional +1 at every 5 levels thereafter to a maximum bonus of +5 at 20th level.

Updated weapon finesse looks extremely powerful. Not sure I'd allow it. Maybe 1/2 Dex to damage instead?
I think these are interesting. Bravo Style uses Charisma, using the force of personality to outwit the foe and make them misstep into a blow?
I haven't really seen much of a problem with the Weapon Finesse yet since no character I play with has ever taken this version. Maybe limit it to one weapon? I wanted to keep all damage using strength to ensure the combat types would be primary damage dealers.
As for Bravo Style, I had considered something similar. But I thought using Diplomacy to avoid a fight and Bluff & Intimidate in combat better cover how a character's Charisma would affect combat.
The styles are meant to represent how different characters learned to fight and add some depth to their backgrounds.
