A ranger with 2 combat styles...

Liberty's Edge

I was thinking of creating a variant ranger that had two combat styles.

What would be fair to have them give up/trade in?

Is the loss of spellcasting enough?

Thoughts?

i would just remove the segregation between combat styles and say you can pick your feats from any of the combat style trees you wish.

Either this (and give up something like Tracking for it) or you need to balance the bonus feats agains class abilities. Personally If I gave them more bonus feats or something I'd take away spellcasting, and their nature bond (and possibly favred terrain and Tracking depending on how strong you feel more feats are)

As you gain Combat style feats every couple of levels, you should trade out something that reocurs in a simular pattern, in the case Favored terrain or spellc casting.
so every level you would have gained a terrain, you can a feat for your second combat style.
