Anyone know of a good source of Next Generation-era Star Trek minis useable for gaming? I've looked around and found some TOS-era minis (from FASA, maybe?) but nothing modern except action figures. Any help would be much appreciated.
I'm going to be running a GURPS Star Trek game set in 2376 (post Dominion War, pre Voyager return) for a couple of players (playing three characters of varying skill each). If anyone's interested I've posted the deckplans and campaign maps I made over at the Cartographer's Guild. I'm also working on some 1" battlemaps of key areas on large paper, but image posting at CG is offline.

Did a quick look and couldn't find much. The best I could find was the below--if you're willing to do headswaps, these guys could pass for wearing Starfleet Uniforms:

I am sure I've seen some vaguely Star Trek looking minis but as they'd be a carefully guarded IP, you're probably not going to find something that exactly works. Generally I'd look for indie mini designers that do modern/sci fi lines (although my favorite sources for that, Heresy and Hasslefree, didn't have much in the way of Star Trek that I could find, beyond what I linked to above).

I was just looking at the WizKids stuff last night. I'm really hoping they do something with it.
On Heresy: Nice minis lines. I couldn't get your link to work but it looks like you were talking about the government inspectors? They might work if I swap out the heads for no-caps and file off the pouches. Thanks for the link! Pricy to fill out even a tiny part of the crew, of course.
Thanks guys!

You're right...the hats are my main sticking point. I can probably mod up some of my 40k head bits. I think I have a lot of those. I'm reasonably proficient with green stuff and can put on Andorian antennae, Vulcan ears, and such. I don't have any female heads but might be able to work something out.
I'm still looking around online and have found a couple of places that have ST-looking minis (down to the two-colored tunic). Looks as if WizKids might follow through with a minis battle game, but I can't seem to find any details on that other than a blurb on startrek.com.

The two games I saw in the store, one was a Star Trek movie game that came with figs of the bridge crew, the second was all starships.
Who wouldn't want half a dozen redshirt clicks facing off against a Mugato? ;-)

Guess Immahafta run a ToS game then... :)
I'm going to take a look around at 40k Imperial Guard and other "buildable" figures to see if there are any that might convert well. Also going to check out some of the military figures available; there might be some that have fairly non-descript uniforms, though the figures are usually a little smaller than RPG gaming minis.

I might suggest you look at some heroclix and see if you can find any that you might be able to repaint.
For example, this guy might be able to be repainted into a starfleet outfit.
Maybe if I get time today, I might go through some and see if I can find anymore.

The uniform on that one is almost perfect, actually. We had thought about superhero figs, because the outfits are usually smoothish...but they're usually oddly (well, for real people) proportioned and well-muscled. Well, the captain is a gung-ho tactical officer type so maybe he has a crazy PT program onboard..."Okay, kids, 100 laps around Deck 4. Let's go!"

If you're still looking at head swaps, this may be relevant to your interests.

Just received these. 15 figures for $63.23 (including S&H) makes them about $4.21 each. I think that's a pretty good deal. Victory Force was no muss-no fuss to order from. I ordered late on the 25th, they processed the order and shipped on the morning of the 26th, and I received them today (the 28th)in the mail (that's from KS to WA). That's about as fast as I get Paizo stuff...and they're just up the road from me!
I ended up with nine males, four females, one alien-headed figure...and the Klingon conventioneer (which looks fine for in-game use as shipped).
The molding is pretty good - not as nice as Reaper but not as bad as some...including a lot of GW Citadel minis I've bought over the years. The bases are higher quality than standard GW bases (which have gone quite flimsy lately). Getting them cleaned up now.
I need to make a Bolian male mini and there's a bald guy, so not much work needed on that one. Some of the figs already look like Vulcans. The biggest mod I'm planning at the moment is to put antennae on one of the females and paint her as Andorian - I have two of the same figure so I'll move the pose a bit and may change her equipment. One of the players' characters is a half-Klingon but I haven't spoken with her about how Klingon that PC will look...could require some work there.
So. Thanks again for the suggestions!

Resurrection Me, Welshy!
Here is some HeroClix I repainted.
Here is how I'd describe them.
Front Row (L to R): Security Officer (TOS), Communication Officer (TOS), Bolian Commander (TNG)
Second Row: Navigator (TOS), Male and Female Security Offiers from Alternate Timeline (TNG)
Third Row: Lead Medical Officer (TNG), Nurse (TOS), Doctor (TOS)
Fourth Row: Medical Officer* (TNG crossed with DS:9), Medical Officer (DS:9), Security Officer (ENT)
*It is hard to tell in the picture, but the character has a jacket like Picard wore and a gray undershirt, but with the teal of the medical characters from DS:9.

Worked for me now. Weird.
Anyway...those look totally awesome! I can't even tell what they used to be. Are you going to rebase them or leave them on the HeroClix bases?
M
Yeah, I was working on rebasing them today.
By the way, I liked the job you did on those. I guess we both came to the same conclusion with a bald character. Bolian!
