Newbie GM Bestiary Question

Scarab Sages

Since the Bestiary is the only resource that a PFS GM is required to have, does that mean that none of the scenarios currently produced refer to creatures in the Bestiary 2/upcoming Bestiary 3 books?

Typically that is the case. Since the writers will not have access generally to those monsters until the bestiary is release. Although if they are on the PRD, I can see B2 creatures being used.

To my recollection, scenarios will provide stats for monsters that are not in the first bestiary.

That's correct.

The only thing to watch out for is Season 0 scenarios where the 3.5 monsters did not make it into the first Bestiary.

Thanks to everybody who responded. I didn't want to buy Bestiary 2 if I didn't (currently) have to. Now I can spend my money on Ultimate Magic instead. Huzzah!
