When stock through our distributor flips from "preorder" to "unavailable" that usually means that available stock has been taken up. It should update in the next week, but I know this is a very popular item right now. :D

This really piques my curiosity. I was tempted to get it when I first heard about it from RPGNow. And I'm still very curious about it. I may have to seriously consider this. It sounds really good.

We received a copy for Christmas, and it is quite simply one of the best RPGs I've ever read. It's also a beautiful looking set. I'm planning on starting a campaign in March, and I can't wait.
What sort of rule system does it use?
Target Numbers
Roll as many 6 sided dice as you have 'ranks' in the skill, and add together
EXCEPT:
you also roll a special d12 which has Gandalf and Sauron rune for special effect, and add that in too!
each 6 on a d6 has a Tengwar rune to show degrees of success
If a skill you are attempting is tied to one of maybe 5 or 6 'traits' you have, you can always opt not to roll and simple take an unremarkable success
It all works pretty fast, and I like it lots
