OK. I placed a order for the Tome of Horrors unlimited pre order on Sept. 23 and it charged my account with what i believed was just a pre authorization. Apparently it was charged fully as the money has been taking from my account. I thought it did not charge for books until they shipped? the item is in my sidecart and says unavailable and it shows up in my subscription page as already being paid for. Is it just taking this long to authorize or is it totally paid for since it did charge$93.49 and $8.88 for shipping as well.

If it was a print/pdf bundle you get charged for the whole thing and get your PDF immediately (at least that's how it was for my copy). And then you get charged for shipping when it ships. Its one of the few exceptions to the "money comes out when it ships" rule.

Yes, it's weird because I was charged the shipping costs immediately when the book has not even been printed yet and we do not know when it will actually ship.
EDIT. Nevermind, it was sales tax that I was charged and not shipping. Damned Washington state.

As a side note for those interested; bundles are indeed charged differently than regular products. We bill you for the amount of the bundle when you check out since you are getting immediate access to the PDF. When it comes time to ship the print portion of you bundle we will bill you for the shipping. When you get to the last page of the check out, just before hitting the "place your order" button we should tell you what we are going to do with your payment method.
Examples:
Bundle:
Payment details: Your credit card will be charged $xx.xx today for your download. We will charge your card for the remaining item when it ships.
Regular Physical item:
Payment details: We will authorize your card for $xx.xx when you place your order. We will charge your card when your item ships.
