Black Powder Alchemist archetype - feedback asked

Hello all. I'm trying to work out an Alchemist archetype that works in a grittier, more realistic (i.e., more like Low Magic) setting. Primarily, the idea was to switch out Mutagens for class features from the Gunslinger. Any time and feedback you offer would be appreciated.

Here's the current concept:

Black Powder Alchemist

Class Skills: replace Heal with Knowledge (Dungeoneering)

Weapon Proficiency: All firearms

The Black Powder Alchemist gains access to Grit and Deeds, but using his Intelligence modifier in place of Wisdom. This replaces Mutagen.

The B.P. Alchemist gains Gunsmith (as per the Gunslinger class feature). This replaces Persistent Mutagen and Swift Poisoning.

Need to specify what Deeds if its all of them more than mutagen needs to go.

You could give him the Grit and 1st level deeds for mutagen and then allow him to choose others as discoveries at the right levels.

Nice; thanks.

You could swap Throw Anything for the proficiency in firearms, and the bomb class feature with Have Gun and Amateur Gunslinger, applying Intelligence instead of Wisdom for the bonus grit and giving more bonus grit and deeds at upper levels. The Explosive Missile and Siege Bomb discoveries could be treated as deeds, and all the bomb discoveries would be applied to bullets instead. Quick Clear is a good deed to give to an alchemist, and of course he would be a master creator of alchemical ammunitions.

Basically he would be an alchemist who shots bombs from a gun. Firethrower could be a good name.

And now I want a barbarian with guns (Lethal Weapon! Yeah!)
