I've got a question about applying GM credit.
When I run , and get a cert to apply to a character, if i don't have any characters to immediately apply it to, i can set it aside, and then apply it to the character later , right?
Can i also wait to apply it to the character if i do have a character that i could apply it to ?
And with Godsmouth Heresy/We Be Goblins ( or any Module where you don't have to play with the same character you're applying the certificate to ):
My friends and I are playing the intro series over the next few weeks. But i'm also running Godsmouth for them next week. Can they play through godsmouth and then apply the cert to their intro characters after they've completed the intro series?

I asked the same thing about MOTFF and was told no. The intro mods can only be played by characters who haven't ever played any other mods. I think you'd have to do it the other way round--play the intros, then play Godsmouth and that would be fine.

Mater of the Fallen Fortress is a different situation, terebithia9. It's backstory supposes that the characters aren't yet Pathfinders. (Indeed, Master of the Fallen Fortess should move characters right into the First Steps modules, maybe with a "Three Years Later" card.)
Seraphimpunk, what you're suggesting sounds reasonable. I might even run the characters through "Godsmouth" at 2nd level (which is legal for PFS characters) since you're running them through what is, essentially, their 2nd-level adventure.
Having said that, I'm pretty sure the official answer would be "no". Unless you delay the last denoument encounter in "Godsmouth".

i'm running godsmouth all in one day. while it takes 3 weeks to run the intros because we're playing on a game night.
i could just postpone godsmouth until after everyone has run through the full intro... but we've got labor day coming up and people want to play. its a small timing issue, and really didn't raise any flags in my head, but some of the players were saying that they wouldn't be able to hold off applying the godsmouth cert to their new characters, and might not be able to play because they want to finish the intro mods.
but godsmouth can be played with versions of characters and applied to higher level characters, or played with pregens and applied to any character... i figured waiting a week or two to actually attach it to the character would be fine, since otherwise it messes with our schedules and interferes with Play Play Play ( even though this isn't a convention )

The same could be said for the God's mouth Heresy. The PCs could just as easily not be pathfinders.
While the 'official" answer would be no to run the god's mouth before the first steps series as Terabinthia9 pointed out, Sometimes as a GM you have to find a way to make things work.
If your schedule constrains you as to when you can run things: ie labor day for God'smouth heracy, and then the Intro' modules, then maby you have to run them in that order.
IF i was a GM in that position, I would probably go ahead and do it. I prefer to err on the side of inclusivity, and working to make a game happen, rather then adhering so close to the rules, my players are denied an opportunity to play.
But that is just my opinion.
