Hi folks,
This is my first post here, but I have been an avid RPG player and Dungeon Master since high school. Because I love creation I have made my own world and I am slowly filling it with custom races.
I am attempting to create a tiny race for my world, and would like to leave it balanced enough to be playable. I would like to see if anyone has any pointers on such a race, I realize that the size modifiers would make them more difficult to hit and all that but I like the idea of such a small race.
Right now I am looking at the following adjustments:
-4 Strength -2 Charisma +4 Intelligence +2 Wisdom
I want an intelligent perceptive race that has problems making friends in general, but I would like them to be very skilled craftsmen and scholars. I am considering a racial +2 to the Craft skill of choice. Since they exist in a world where most races are medium I think some feats based around fighting things larger than themselves might be in order. Has anyone built their own race along these lines? Please let me know.

Grigs are tiny fey. They were also the first tiny creatures I ran across. I'd use them as a starting point. Grigs are CR 1,so it shouldn't be too hard to work with them.
Tiny creatures have to be ranged combatants (archery or spwlls), because they don't have reach and must enter the opponents square to make a melee atatck.
