Revised Pregenerated Characters

Today we put up the first wave of revised pregenerated characters (here).

The new versions include not only stats for a 1st, 4th, and 7th level cleric, fighter, rogue, and wizard, but explanations of their class abilities and an overview of the iconics' backstories to give new players a sense of the flavor of the classes in addition to just rules.

While we have more pregenerated characters on the way, we wanted all available pregens to represent the standard current campaign management holds them to. Thus, we've removed the previous versions of the alchemist, cavalier, and oracle. These will be revised and reposted in the new format as soon as possible.

The four core rulebook pregens can be downloaded in 3-page PDFs separated by level or class.

Thanks to everyone for their patience in waiting for these long overdue upgrades to the pregenerated characters. I think you'll all like the changes and I hope they provide an enjoyable and inspiring gaming experience for new players picking one up for the first time.

Scarab Sages

Kyra: "Aaaah! I'm being eaten by my stat block!" 8^)

On a serious note, these look awesome. Thanks Mark! Looking forward to the rest!

Here's hoping that the revised alchemist, etc. will be reposted soon -- with a 20 point buy, instead of a 15 point buy!

We likely won't get to those revisions until after GenCon, as that deadline is priority number 1. When the APG classes are re-posted, however, they'll be built with 20 point buy just like the rest.

Will pregens for the magus, ninja, samurai, and gunslinger be done at the same time as the revised APG pregens or will they come out some time further down the road?

Wow, they look really good, nice work.

I'll be really happy to present those to new players at my table.

Signs point to yes

Dark Archive 1/5

I am still not seeing any pregens for the classes in the APG. Am I missing something or is it simple no longer there?

Lantern Lodge 5/5

Were they ever there!?
I'd love to see some of the other classes made as pregens
I have many of the Iconics from Reaper

Scarab Sages

As far as I know, they are still redeveloping them.

Grand Lodge

I like the new revised ones.
They should really help new players with the character.

Didn't you read Mark's comment? They won't be ready until after Gen Con.

Which Gen Con is an interesting question. :-)

Dudes cut Mark and Mike some slack. I'm sure they'll get around to it when there is time.
