*shakes fist*
So close, and yet, so far.
I thought we'd done alright.
Our level 8-9 table completed the whole thing in 16 rounds, and in fact had only taken 25 HP damage as a group by the end of round 4, no deaths, no-one unconscious.
174 points was respectable I thought. The 10-11 table beat us by 1 point. 1 point!?! Bah ;) It is a good thing that I like all of the players or one could be considered bitter.

To be fair, we'd have just used winning as a platform to berate the Decemvirate, which may not have gone over well. We probably win the 'most unlikely success award' for being a mismatched team looking for roleplay over fighting, who were considering tapping out in the first round and then ended up blasting through everything like a well oiled machine...

Your GM surely failed you all. I did dangle success like a carrot in front of my team only to squash them in the fifth encounter and see them tap out one after the other in quick succession.
A good Pathfinder must have smelled success but was denied it to be keen to do better next time ...
To be fair - it was close for the group I GMed. A little bit of luck or a crit at the right moment could have helped them to go all the way - but it wasn't to happen. I still hope everyone enjoyed it.

My congratulations go out to everyone who took part in that truly gruelling test, even if you did not attain the same level of success as my Mighty Taldan Beard.
I do admit though, we did get very lucky...
