Adventure Path Bestiary?

Product Discussion

Since starting my Adventure Path subscription with Kingmaker, I've taken to printing out the collection of monsters presented each issue and compiling them into a single binder for easy reference should I decide to use one in an encounter outside of the AP it was presented in. Even printed double-sided, I have a respectable stack of monsters - practically my own mini-bestiary.

So, I was wondering, have the good people at Paizo given any thought of publishing the entire collection of AP monsters in a single book?

I'm not necessarily interested in owning the older APs, but I wouldn't mind having the monsters from them - especially collected in one easy to grab book, rather than spread out over 50 issues.

Several of them are going into the Bestiaries as they are published....

Yep, what the Leprechaun said. The best of the monsters in the AP Bestiaries have already been promoted to our core rulebook line. For instance, the Shining Child in Pathfinder #4 has seen new life in Bestiary 2.

Now, one thing that is missing from the core rulebook entries is all of the cool fluff that accompanies the AP Bestiary monsters. We have a two page spread for each AP monster, while only a single page for each core rulebook Bestiary monster. So lots of neat fluff gets axed, unfortunately. So there is still a really good reason to have the individual AP volumes.

I'm planning on, eventually, making up binders with all the critters and NPC's for the various AP's.

Heh. me too. I have one for all the monsters in Council of Thieves, all sorted alphabetically, with all the encounter tables at the front. Man would I love if paizo would save me the trouble and do this for me. lol. Especially because that way when they're putting out an AP I'm not so interested in, I can still go buy the AP Bestiary for it.

I'm okay with the monsters showing up in the AP as well as in the Bestiary. Leave the AP versions with 2 page spreads and fluff...

I'd just like them to save me the trouble of compiling my own bestiaries from the modules (where none of the pages have numbers that make any sense.)

In the meantime though; I have a pretty good council of thieves bestiary in a big binder, with page numbers written in pen, and an index I made in MS Word.
