[Inner Sea World Guide] Calendar - A Clarification

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

Hello Pathfinder Friends,

I, as many before me have done, have created a calendar for my campaigns. I've got the new Inner Sea Guide, and I've got the updated number of days in the various months, but what I'm really after is an official start DAY.

In other words, OFFICIALLY, what day of the week is the 1st Abadius 4712.

If this can be answered, I think I, and so many others, can work the date back to our own games. If this has been posted anywhere else officially, it would be great if people could point me there.

Cheers.

Sovereign Court

Easiest answer is the same day as the real world calendar for January 2012.

The Golarion calendar mirrors the Gregorian calendar precisely, minus 2,700 years. So the 1st of Abadius 4712 AR is a Sunday.

No. Leap days work differently.

The developers inexplicably hold that to be true. Though I'm mystified why they went through the bother of having the two calendars sync up in every other way and then screw up leap days so that they're eventually bound to fall out of sync for no appreciable reason.

Regardless, the two calendars are currently synced up and the 1st of Abadius 4712 AR is a Sunday.
